The 7 Days Rongai Route is the only route that approaches Mount Kilimanjaro from the northern side near the Kenya-Tanzania border. It is known for its quiet trails, beautiful wilderness, and gradual ascent, making it an excellent option for climbers seeking a less crowded experience with a high chance of reaching Uhuru Peak (5,895m). The descent follows the Marangu Route, allowing trekkers to experience two different sides of the mountain.

Itinerary
- Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
- Meet and greet by your mountain guide and transfer to your hotel in Arusha.
- Trek briefing, equipment inspection, and final preparations.
- Overnight at the hotel.

- Complete park registration before beginning the trek.
- Hike through farmland, pine forest, and montane forest with opportunities to spot wildlife.

- Begin the summit ascent shortly after midnight.

- Descend to Kibo Hut for a short rest before continuing to Horombo Hut.
Distance: 22 km (13.7 miles)

- Descend through the rainforest to Marangu Gate.
